Resumen
The Covid19 pandemic has meant very rapid and intense changes in social interaction with political, economic and cultural impacts that we still need to reflect on. This proposal contains the first results of an investigation into the emotional situation of young people in Sicily during the confinement caused by the pandemic. The main objective is to preliminary map the emotions experienced by young people in Sicily during the confinement. The pandemic has thrown the world into uncertainty, this has particularly impacted young people as it has blocked their natural predisposition to the future. The Sicilian context emphasized some of the characteristics of the youth condition in Italy, such as the difficulty in finding a job, the impossibility of acquiring autonomy from one\'s own family and planning a stable biographical trajectory. We therefore understand the importance of analyzing what impact the pandemic may have had on young people and what their responses to the pandemic are. The first preliminary investigations show a series of strategies implemented by young people to overcome the crisis, in line with some sociological studies that show how young people react creatively and strategically to the uncertainty that characterizes the present and the future. We therefore propose to report in this intervention the results of the interviews conducted in April 2020 and some previews of a second round of interviews that will take place in February 2021.
